Welcome to Seymour Oxford Food Bank!
About Us

The Seymour Oxford Food Bank was founded in 1979 by the clergy association in response to the growing need for food assistance in our community. Since then, we've experienced significant growth and evolution, becoming incorporated in 2014 and an official 501c3 nonprofit in 2016.

Today, The Seymour Oxford Food Bank is proud to collaborate with many community partners including other area food banks, local farms, businesses, nonprofits, and, of course, the clergy who remain on the front lines of making sure those most vulnerable among us have their basic needs met.

Our vision for the future involves expanding both our physical footprint and available services to better meet the needs of our community. As the cost of living continues to soar and the ALICE. (Asset Limited Income Constrained Employed) population along with it, we are all being called to solve our shared problems with more creativity and collaboration. So many of our neighbors are gainfully employed and still unable to make ends meet and yet there is still intense shame associated with needing help.

Our mission is to not only help provide food and essential items to our community, but to do so with dignity, love, and understanding.
